Dallas Daily — Sunday, October 18, 2026: Cowboys Face Packers on Sunday Night Football, State Fair's Final Day, Stars Blank Blackhawks
Cowboys Visit Packers on Sunday Night Football Tonight
Game day. The Cowboys (2-3) travel to Lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers (3-2) on Sunday Night Football (7:20 PM CT, NBC/Peacock) in a Week 6 matchup neither team can afford to lose. Good news for Dallas: CeeDee Lamb — limited to two catches in the Week 5 loss to Tampa Bay by a quad bruise suffered in the Houston win — practiced fully all week and carries no injury designation, so expect him back at full strength tonight. DeMarvion Overshown (hamstring) was downgraded to out and didn't travel, while cornerback Joey Porter Jr. (ankle) made the trip and is expected to play. The Cowboys also elevated Derion Kendrick and Juanyeh Thomas from the practice squad as insurance. Green Bay is coming off a dominant 31-7 win over Chicago behind Jordan Love's 367 passing yards and a defense that forced five turnovers — Dallas's offense has its work cut out. On the call: Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth.

The Stars (4-3-1) are 4-1-1 in their past six and playing their best defensive hockey of the fall.

Two Killed in Early-Morning House Fire in Grand Prairie
Two people died in a house fire early Saturday in Grand Prairie, according to fire officials. Firefighters responded to the 3600 block of Green Hollow Drive just before 5 a.m. and arrived to a fully engulfed home with the roof collapsing. A man pulled from the home through a window was pronounced dead at the hospital; a woman was later found dead at the scene. A firefighter suffered minor injuries and has been released. The victims' names have not been released and the cause remains under investigation.
A Sunny Fall Sunday
Picture-perfect October weather for the Fair's final day and the last of the weekend: partly cloudy this morning giving way to sunshine, with a high of 72°F and tonight's low around 50°F, and no rain in sight. The warmup resumes Monday with a high near 78°F.
